I use surplus sheets of 16-gauge steel, found objects, old tools, farm implements and recycled materials to create 2 and 3 dimensional pieces that are both whimsical and artistic. Each piece that I create is unique and one-of-a-kind. I use a hand-held plasma cutter, grinder, gas torch and welder.
Using a handheld plasma torch, I cut my steel free-hand, so no two pieces will ever be the same. I enjoy helping the environment, bringing new life to materials that would have been discarded. Each piece carries a little bit of my heart and soul, and it is gratifying to me that others can feel that joy.
I enjoy the process of bringing new life to materials that would have been discarded, fulfilling my part in environmental causes. I look for unique shaped steel in thrift shops, estate sales, junk shops, and scrap yards.
