Welcome, fellow Southwest Washington event production industry professionals!
Oh, what a year it's been. For those of us in the events world, we are living with many questions about how our industry will move forward. What are the best practices and what are others doing to ensure engagement with our donors, attendees, and supporters will continue?
A few of us (and maybe some of you) belong to the Washington Festival & Events Association (WFEA), which is dedicated to promoting the common business interests of the festivals and events industry in Washington State. They are a fantastic resource, and we encourage you to add them to your list of event resources.
We are working with WFEA to begin a chapter specific to event producers who work in the Southwest Washington region. Our chapter will bring in guest speakers to share emerging information on topics ranging from permitting processes and planning, public health best practices, and local jurisdictional guidelines and new creative ways of bringing events to the community.
The purpose of the WFEA-Southwest is to provide a space where we can share what we know, ask what we don't, and have a place of like-minded professionals working together and sharing information to figure out what our industry can do now and how we can prepare for the way events will be conducted as we move forward.
Please join us… whether you are an event production industry professional with chambers of commerce, community-based non-profits, visitor and convention bureaus, park departments, government agencies, fairs, public health, vendors, suppliers, consultants and hosts of volunteers, etc., all are welcome!
